If you checked the weather forecast for July 1st, you probably expected to melt! It was a record-breaking scorcher, but the PCC crew stayed cool under the lush, leafy shade of the Maple Pavilion at Belmont Lake Park in Babylon. With our own private patch of park, charcoal grills, picnic tables, and a cool indoor building to duck into, we had the perfect setup.

Santa traded in his sleigh for sunshine and made a special stop at Mills Hall in St. James for PCC's Santa's Summer Bash Dance Party—and it was snow much fun!

PCC braved the rainy weather and walked most of the Norman J. Levy Park and Preserve before the wind and rain picked up. The Jones Beach bay may have been angry, and the goats may have been in hiding, but none of that stopped us from getting our steps in.

Lions and tigers and bears...OH MY!  A day was had at the Bronx Zoo.  We saw everything from zebras and giraffes to rhinos and Komodo dragons.  We could believe our eyes seeing such majestic animals and reptiles before our eyes.  We also had the opportunity to go into the butterfly garden and hang out with the butterflies and parrots. Members had so much fun. This meetup is definitely a core memory for PCC.
